What inspired you to start Comics Explained?
I've been passionate about comic books since I was a kid, and I wanted to share my knowledge and love for the genre with others. Comics Explained was my way of doing that.
How much research goes into making each video?
A lot! I spend hours reading and researching each storyline to ensure that I have all the details right. I want to provide accurate information for my viewers.
What's your favorite comic book storyline?
That's a tough one! There are so many great storylines out there, but I think I have to go with Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. It's a masterpiece.
What advice do you have for newcomers to the comic book world?
Don't worry about feeling overwhelmed! There's a lot of history and backstory to catch up on, but the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the characters and stories. Start with a character or storyline that interests you, and go from there.
How do you come up with new content ideas?
I try to stay up-to-date on new comic book releases and events, and I also take suggestions from viewers. If there's a particular storyline or character that lots of people are asking about, I'll make a video about it.
What's the most challenging storyline you've covered so far?
Probably the Infinity Gauntlet storyline. It's a huge, complex story with lots of characters and events to keep track of.
What do you think is the future of comic books?
I think comics will continue to evolve and adapt to new technologies and platforms. We're already seeing more comics being released digitally, and I think that trend will continue. But ultimately, I think the core appeal of comics - the characters and stories - will always be what draws people in.
Will you ever write your own comic book?
I've thought about it, but for now I'm focused on creating content for Comics Explained. Who knows what the future holds, though!
What's your favorite comic book movie adaptation?
Another tough one! I think I have to go with The Dark Knight. It's an incredible movie that captures the spirit of Batman and the comics so well.
